What is Honda Stars?

Honda Stars is a contest designed to showcase low budget project Hondas for a chance to win a prize. The competition is open to the public and runs over periods to be determined by the owners of the site. This will be guided by the number of entries and the number of votes per entry.

Eligibility

Honda Stars is open to Jamaican residents only. This is necessary, as Jamaicansporthonda.com has to verify the winners of each competition and, at the moment, does not have the capacity to verify entries outside of Jamaica. Any car, SUV, motorbike or quad may be entered. This must be entered by the owner or with the owner’s consent, written proof of which will be required.

• Entrants must be residents of Jamaica who are 18 years of age or older.
• Entrants must be the owner of the car, etc or have the permission of the owner to enter - written proof will be required.
• The car must be located in Jamaica.
• Individual cars can only be entered once for each contest.
• The entrant car should not be a first or second place winner in any Honda Stars Contest period within the last calendar year.
• Entrants must be prepared to substantiate any claims made with regards to their entry.
• Employees of JamaicanSportHonda.com and their affiliated companies, advertising agencies and promotion agencies, sponsors and the immediate family members of each are ineligible.
• No purchase is necessary to enter.

How to Enter

• Entries are submitted only via the entry form on the JamaicanSportHonda.com website.
• To enter, submit your car details and contact information along with at least one (1) and a maximum of five (5) digital pictures (JPG format) using the entry form provided on the website. Please follow all instructions. Incomplete entries will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute, JamaicanSportHonda.com will be deemed the official arbiter unless other arrangement are made by JamaicanSportHonda.com. JamaicanSportHonda.com will deem each entry to have been submitted by the holder of the e-mail account submitted at the time of entry.
• Entries are then published on the Contest page that is open to public voting.
• The contest will be closed one week prior to the draw. This is done to enable all entrants a fair chance for votes.
• JamaicanSportHonda.com is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner or other contest information by JamaicanSportHonda.com or entrants for any reason whatsoever. JamaicanSportHonda.com is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from entering or downloading any materials in the "Honda Stars" Contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the property of JamaicanSportHonda.com and will not be returned. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, JAMAICANSPORTHONDA.COM RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. JamaicanSportHonda.com reserves the right to cancel the contest if it becomes technically corrupted.
• All incomplete entries, or those from ineligible entrants will be void.
• All entries become the property of JamaicanSportHonda.com and will not be acknowledged or returned.
• JamaicanSportHonda.com is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected messages or for errors.
• The contest begins at midnight on a set date and all entries must be received by midnight ( 0500GMT) on the closing date. Any entries received after the closing deadlines within the week before the draw will be held for the following contest.

The Prize

• The winning entries will be determined solely upon the number of votes received. A breakdown of the votes will be posted on the website. Please note that votes will not carry over for any car entered in subsequent contests.
• Prizes will be allocated to first place winners only, however, the first and second place winners will not be eligible to enter their car in subsequent competitions in that calendar year as they will be placed in a special contest for the Honda of the year prize.
• All other entries may be placed in subsequent competitions, but all previous votes will be cancelled. All the submitted images become the property of JamaicanSportHonda.com and may be used for promotional purposes.
• The first prize winner will receive prizes ranging from accessories to gift baskets. The prize package will be valued at a minimum of J$2,500.00.
• JamaicanSportHonda.com reserves the right to withhold prizes if any of these or any of our other rules are violated or not met.
• The winner will be published on the website and will be notified by email within seven business days of winning via the address provided on entry. Each winner must sign a release (available online or on weekdays at the JamaicanSportHonda.com front desk, 11 Dayton Avenue, Kingston 10 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.) and submit it in person at the JamaicanSportHonda.com office. The release must be signed within thirty days of notification. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winner’s name, likeness and photographs for online posting, and/or advertising and publicity without additional compensation.
• If a winner does not timely return the affidavit of eligibility within 30 days then the prize will be returned to JamaicanSportHonda.com.
• Prizes are not transferable for cash. No substitution, transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed. JamaicanSportHonda.com reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
• The winners are responsible for paying all taxes (if applicable) on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prize as set forth in these rules.

Odds of Winning and Miscellaneous

• Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
• For the name of the prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to: “Honda Stars Contest”, JamaicanSportHonda.com, 11 Dayton Avenue, Kingston 10.
• This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. JamaicanSportHonda.com accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
• By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release JamaicanSportHonda.com, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, and (c) to JamaicanSportHonda.com’s use of participant’s personal information as described in JamaicanSportHonda.com’s Privacy Policy located at www.JamaicanSportHonda.com (for promotional or legal purposes).
