2006 JMMC Rally

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Drivers Bulletin #1 ::: December 7, 2006

The organizers of the 2006 Rally Jamaica, in consultation with the Ministry of Health, and the sponsors of the event, have decided to cancel the Wisynco Jamworld Portmore NightDrive stage.

This is in view of the current Malaria outbreak being experienced in the island and its attendant risk, not with standing that arrangements had been made with the St Catherine Public Health Department to effect fogging operations immediately prior to the staging of the proposed event.

The Official Opening of the Rally and Parc Expose will now be staged on Friday, December 8, 2006 at the Petcom Head Office - 695 Spanish Town Road at 5.00 o'clock. The parc expose will finish at 7.00 o'clock. This is mandatory for all competitors.

2 Days To Go!

With only 2 days left to go before the start of Rally Jamaica 2006, preparations are in high gear for the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club’s season ending event. The checking of cars for class and safety compliance has been underway since yesterday at Vehicles and Supplies on Half Way Tree Rd., as Rally headquarters at the Hilton Hotel has also been busy with registration of teams set to compete in Jamaica’s largest motor sport event.
